Mrs R had been with the same employer for many years. The employer’s Will left her a large sum of money, but only if she was still employed at the time of death.
Shortly before the employer passed away, they were moved to a hospice, and Mrs R was asked by family members to work at an alternative location. She agreed, but was later denied the inheritance on the grounds that her employment had ended. The family claimed to have become her new employers.
